Legacy PDF invoices should now include comprehensive product details, similar to those shown in the app. This update will provide clearer insights into the items and services billed.
Definitely want the ability here to provide product detail on invoices - its a marketing issue
Typically what happens over time is staff at a customer company change out and whoever is in charge of the website or accounts no longer knows what they’re paying for.
This leads to a scenario where someones “friend” can do hosting better/cheaper etc because it’s no longer clear to the customer what they’re paying for and ultimately results in churn
We want the ability to show this information on the invoices themselves as often this is the only contact the customer has from us on the regular or the only contact they’re getting for years
A simple solution would be the ability to use the Product Description field on invoices
A better solution would be another field on the product where we can write the description specifically for invoices
A better description also provides an opportunity for upselling
EDIT - we’re still using primary Hostbill for invoicing and this is one of the many reasons why i HATE hostbill as the invoices look like complete garbage
